Testing
The next Mensa Admission Test will be given on:
Date: Saturday, August 23, 2008.
Registration: 9:00 am
Test begins: 9:15 am, latecomers will NOT be seated.
Needed at registration: Photo ID and $40 CASH ONLY.
Supplies included: paper, pencils, timer

Prospective members are often nervous about tackling the Mensa Admission Test. The Mensa Home Test is a great way for you to ease into testing. The home test won't qualify you for membership, but it's a good way for you to estimate how you'll do on the real admission test.

Proctored Mensa Qualifying Exam
The Mensa qualifying exam is open to anyone 14 years of age and older.
If you have previously taken the test, you may not take it again, no matter how long ago it was.
Testing in Binghamton, NY and Ithaca, NY will occur just before summer. Look for the dates on the website or in the MOST.
All test sessions start promptly and last about 1 ½ - 2 hours. No one will be admitted once the testing session starts. Seating is limited to first come first served.
The cost of the test $40.00 CASH and photo ID is required for registration at the door. Please bring your photo ID to the test. You will not be admitted without this.
There will be NO smoking, eating or drinking in the test rooms.
Anyone between the ages of 14-17 years of age must have either a parent or guardian with them and they must plan to stay for the entire testing session. They may also take the exam if they wish.
The test is in two parts, with a ten-minute break in between them.
All supplies for the test will be given to you on site.
Do Not Bring computers, calculators, slide rules, pagers or beepers to the session. Cell phones must be off and out of sight during the exam.
Reservations for the test sessions are required by e-mailing the Proctor Coordinator Ellen Shaw . At that time, she will tell you the latest test site information.
